SUMMARY
Performs mechanical work on trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Is willing to learn to complete mechanical repairs and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
  • Must provide the tools to perform jobs efficiently.
  • Is willing to learn to do multiple job tasks such as change tires, electrical repairs, or knowing how to use diagnostic equipment.
  • Maintains and improves on all safety regulations.
  • Is willing to learn to run a forklift and other equipment.
  • Is able to take class training through PV Transport or outside school programs.
Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, particle masks

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Schedule: 2nd Shift Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday 7:30 pm to 6:00 am

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CDL Class A
Refrigerant Handing License
Pa. State Inspection License
