The Trauma Nurse Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who reports directly to the

Trauma Program Director and is under the Trauma Medical Director for the Department of Surgery He/She develops collaborative relationships with Hospital's Medical staff, Administrators, Directors of the Multidisciplinary Departments, and Nursing to facilitate cooperation and support for the trauma program. The Trauma Nurse Coordinator is a Management/Leadership position assisting the Trauma Program Director in determining personnel, workflow and standards for quality and quantity of work material, equipment and facilities needed to accomplish program goals. Supervise and manage the trauma office staff, emergency, and ICU trauma nursing care, data collection and data entry into the TEMIS, EMS data base, maintaining a trauma registry and comply with contract requirements. The TNC is also responsible for analysis, trends, evaluation, research and performance monitored for improvements.

Qualifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)

Pediatric Life Support (PALS)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC)

Minimum 3 years experience as an Emergency Room Nurse and the last 2 years in a Verified Trauma Center.
