Entry level position that will perform a variety of tasks for the treasury group including but not limited to analysis of financing agreements, research of industry financing trends and developing financing database. With limited supervision and with critical deadlines, the position will support company borrowing and capital market activities. The position will report to the Manager, Corporate Finance.
Researching peer financing agreements and industry financing trends, summarizing important terms and implications, reporting to management on new or changing financing alternatives and keeping up to date on energy capital markets activities and developments
Developing, designing, creating and maintaining a database on E&P industry financing agreements and financial results to support ongoing treasury activities
Creating and developing treasury presentations, including bank, ratings agency and internal management presentations to senior management and other stakeholders
Completing ad hoc tasks assigned by treasury or finance management
Supporting WPX actual and potential borrowing and capital markets activities, including contract development and negotiation, analyzing financing alternatives and developing financial forecasts
Constructing financial models for various financing decisions, including company financing alternatives, lease vs. purchase analysis and other miscellaneous analytics requirements and reviewing and summarizing lease contracts, including identifying and analyzing important transaction terms, and coordinating lease execution with internal stakeholders
Completing quarterly accounting information data gathering and review, including contacting financial institutions for market information as necessary and
Proficient with Excel, MS Word, and powerpoint
General knowledge of energy industry
