Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:
Requires knowledge, skills and abilities in 1) applying the principles and practices of public health, community health education and administration at the local level, including program management; 20 interpreting and understanding current trends and research concerning women’s health before, during, after and between pregnancies; 3) staffing, planning and implementing multi-disciplinary multi-agency advisory boards, initiatives, or task forces that provide focus and direction for local, regional or statewide maternal child health or community health education initiatives; 5) presenting ideas and information effectively and accurately both orally and in writing; and 6) utilizing electronic communications and technology to effectively execute on the job.
Experience in infant mortality prevention, maternal child health, community based social action program, community organization and mobilization activities.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Master's degree in public health, social work, nursing, psychology or related field; or graduation from a four-year college/university and two years of administrative, consultative or counseling experience in a related human services program.
