American Apparel, an innovative and fast-growing clothing manufacturer and retailer in Downtown Los Angeles, is looking for the right candidate to assist our Trim Department at our Southgate Los Angeles Dye House facility. This person will provide support to our largest production department; sewing.
Apply only if you are dependable, have strong attention to detail, multi-task oriented, communicative, willing to work overtime, capable of working with others and able to follow instruction. This is an entry-position and training will be on-site.
The Trim Department at American Apparel maintains inventory flowing for garments produced daily at our location. This department is responsible for inventory items such as Labels, Zippers, buttons, and thread that are used to produce our final products. Thus, the department works primarily with production departments to ensure proper distribution.
Note: This is an hourly position. Day and night shift available.
Ensure quality and accuracy while distributing orders
Maintain close communication with supervisor
Maintain products organized, depending on style, size, color, and quantity
Will assist on Trim Inventory Reports as needed
Participate in special tasks and perform other duties related to work, if needed
Basic computer skills
Flexibility with work schedule
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance
Able to work with minimal or no supervision
Competent math and spelling skills
