Job Purpose: This individual will be responsible for designing and delivering functional training that supports strategic initiatives and Transfer Agency goals. This person will assess and prioritize learning needs, collaborate to design solutions, perform the instructional design of new and the enhancement of existing materials and programs, use agile project management approaches to meet stakeholder expectations, and deliver materials in instructor led, blended, and computer based training mediums. An eye for detail is important in designing all support materials to ensure they are consistent in look and feel as well up to date and accurate.

INSTRUSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN : Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation
  • Consult with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and training team to identify training needs, clarify learning objectives, and determine priorities
  • Leverage training time, people and dollars by identifying the most effective training methods
  • Collaborate to build solutions to fulfill requirements
  • Apply principles of adult learning theory to design of programs
  • Design and deliver innovative experiential learning simulations, games, and activities
  • Build engaging instructor led, blended, and distance learning and knowledge sharing
  • Write and review training correspondence (design documents, participant guides, facilitator guides, job aids, messages to participants, marketing materials, etc.)
  • Create and maintain training materials that are easy to update, manage, and customize
  • Evaluate training programs and materials to ensure end-user needs and ROI/ROE metrics are met
  • Incorporate customer feedback into training materials prior to next roll out
  • Continually review and improve existing training material to increase retention and application
  • Stay current on trends and best practices on how to maximize training effectiveness
  • Effectively facilitate delivery of course content and/or support knowledge transfer to adjunct trainers

PROJECT MANAGEMENT : Workflow Management and Communication
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables within time, budget and quality expectations
  • Maintain ongoing communication with all parties about progress and actions required to meet deliverables
  • Prepare executive summaries and communicate quantitative and qualitative outcomes and trends
  • Make business recommendations based on trending and analysis as necessary
  • Organize, publish and communicate reference materials to ensure accuracy and readily accessible
  • Coordinate scheduling with Workforce Management and leadership

GRAPHIC DESIGN : Desktop Publishing
  • Develop templates and style guide standards in order to execute a consistent, company-wide look and feel
  • Incorporate graphic design and material layout/desktop publishing elements to format and beautify materials

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT : Collaboration with Team, Business, and Vendors
  • Foster partnership with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, adjunct trainers and interdependent groups
  • Provide timely and frequent feedback to peers, adjunct trainers and management
  • Coach and develop the knowledge and skills of peers and adjunct trainers
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF CANDIDATE
  • A strong background in blended and distance learning
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Proven ability with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Captivate, and Microsoft Publisher
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; has the ability to plan, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to effectively build and manage processes, tools and systems
  • Ability to translate ideas into clear written and visual materials/communication
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills

ADDITIONAL Characteristics OF IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Behavioral Sciences, Instructional Design, or Industrial/Organizational Psychology
  • Work experience in Financial Services and/or operational capacity
  • Able to build trust and collaborate among people, teams and departments

  • Able to make tough and timely decisions and take personal accountability for results
