The Role

The Trust & Information Security Officer for SurveyMonkey will be responsible for coming up with, building and maintaining our security controls & audits.

You will help us build and maintain our system of security controls to support enterprise level security & PCI Compliance. The TISO will have the opportunity to bring more clarity, focus and strategic value to the company’s capabilities of the users trust & safety, in part, through the economies of scale created by leveraging shared tools, engineering, infrastructure, programs and resources.

The TISO will have responsibility for a broad spectrum of initiatives, including Policy and Governance, as well as overall security strategy. This office also will oversee risk management, remediation and finally, the TISO will oversee responsibility for business continuity planning and crisis management across the entire company.

The successful Monkey will develop a multi-year initiative to develop a new security framework and improve interaction among the different businesses, adopting an integrated view of the whole range of risk issues - both existing and potential issues. The TISO will collaborate with the business leaders to establish goals and aspirations relating to security and user safety, thereby developing a security strategy shaped by the business strategy.

The TISO must be a strategic thinker and innovative problem solver, skilled in design and execution of effective enterprise security programs. The Trust & Information Security leader should possess outstanding leadership, team building and technical strengths that generate optimum productivity with performance excellence from security staff, internal and external partners. She or he should demonstrate a commitment to embrace the corporate culture to overachieve business objectives with a proven history of elevating information security postures.

Job Requirements

Must have experience with security & PCI Audits

Experience in designing enterprise-wide information security organizational structures and processes

Experience in the mobile/web services and technology industries, preferably in dynamic and fast changing environments

Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with deep understanding of how to develop relevant metrics that not only track activity but also quantify the impact of security initiatives on the financial, growth, and performance of the business

Experience in designing enterprise-wide information security organizational structures and processes

Experience mitigating real world security threats and evaluating / implementing intrusion detection systems

Strong orientation toward problem solving and decision-making in an open and collaborative environment. He or she will have a strong orientation toward making decisions that will benefit the organization as a whole, rather than optimizing resources or benefits solely his or her for own team

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and conflicting priorities

Self motivated and directed

Education/Experience

Undergraduate degree required

5+ years relevant work experience
