Responsibilities:

This position reports to and will provide fiduciary support to 2-3 senior trust advisors and their clients. This individual will be responsible for handling trust administrative duties related to the management and administration of fiduciary and investment agency relationships. This individual will also coordinate and oversee all administrative duties assigned to the Middle Office with respect to these relationships. Additionally, this individual will exercise basic decision-making authority as deemed appropriate by manager and in his/her absence, exhibiting good judgment and seeking guidance on more complicated matters from other senior trust advisors or trust compliance as appropriate.

Provide trust administrative support to supervising senior trust advisors as well as serving as a back-up for other trust assistants in their absence.

Coordinate administrative work flow with Middle Office, including daily transaction processing for clients.

Coordinate and monitor opening and closing of accounts, including the establishment/closure of all files and records, gathering/distributing of assets and other related tasks, with the Middle Office.

Handle client calls in person or over the phone in managing advisor’s absence; prepare written response to client correspondence. Exercise discretion and make basic relationship decisions, exhibiting good judgment, as deemed appropriate by managing advisors.

Assist with preparation of client and prospect presentation materials.

Assist private and middle market bankers with trust-related questions/inquiries.

Handle research and other special projects as assigned by managing advisors.

Qualifications:

Strong PC software application skills, including MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Good working knowledge of banking and financial services as well as basic tax concepts.

Good knowledge of trust administration, including experience reading/reviewing trust documents and providing summary feedback to manager(s).

Good knowledge of investments, including equities, fixed income and asset allocation strategies.

Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking, analytical (mathematical) and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented.

Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently, with limited managerial oversight.

This position will interact with all levels of staff, from operations support to senior management
