Position Summary:
The University of New Mexico has established branch colleges to serve the citizens of New Mexico and to provide the highest quality of education for students pursuing post secondary education at different locations throughout the state. Branch colleges respond specifically to the unique needs and multicultural backgrounds of their respective communities by offering both career and community education programs, these include certificate and associate degree programs, as well as transfer programs that prepare students for upper division entry into colleges and universities.
The University of New Mexico Gallup campus is seeking a Tutor for the Adult Basic Education (ABE) program located at the University of New Mexico Gallup North campus. Provides academic tutoring services to a wide variety of individuals and groups. Creates and implements tutorial programs and classes that guide and assist students with problem solving, literacy, numeracy, verbal and social skills, and test preparation.

Minimum Qualifications:
One to two years full-time college; at least 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in classroom management and lesson planning; Bilingual (Navajo/English or Spanish/English) skills preferred.
