As a Solution Specialist you will be responsible for actively driving and managing the customer’s technology evaluation of our Unified Communications (UC) products. This position reports into the RPM Business Development team and does carry a quota and pays commission. The Solutions Specialist must be able to identify and manage all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The Solution Specialist must also be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle. Additional tasks include:
  • Help lead the RPM UC sales/business development strategy with Riverbed direct and indirect Channels
  • Present UC Value-Proposition from a business perspective
  • Meet or exceed Business Development annual quota assignment
  • Developing and delivering product demonstrations
  • Responding to functional and technical elements of customer RFIs/RFPs
  • Managing technical Proof of Concepts/Evaluations
  • Communicating Riverbed’s Best Practice approach for specific UC business processes
  • Conveying customer requirements to Product Management, Marketing and Engineering
  • Attending conferences, seminars, and other customer-interaction events that develop our products’ position in the market and bring additional subject matter expertise into the company
Here’s what you should bring to the table:
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related scientific discipline
  • 3-5+ years relevant experience in successful software pre-sales or technical sales
  • 3-5 years of network experience – Cisco, Avaya, or Microsoft Lync Unified Communication (UC) Performance preferred
  • Self-motivated, with a proven track record in enterprise software sales and knowledge of business process management technology
  • Strong written communications, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
  • Effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical skills to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the United States and Canada
  • Must be motivated to have an impact on our products, our company, and the state of the art
