Acoustic measurements laboratory provides ultrasound measurement capability to the ultrasound
design and development organizations across the business. We support new product development, research and feasibility projects that require our support to ensure their prototypes meet international and FDA safety requirements when used in a clinical environment.

Position Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities for the successful candidate will be using sophisticated measurement equipment to measure acoustic energy and profiles in water tanks with the aid of hydrophones. Candidate would initially work within a small team as contributor or co-leader on a small product development or proto-typing projects.

Additional responsibilities include:
• Operation of automated and manual ultrasound acoustic output measurement equipment for the measurement and documentation of ultrasound output parameters in an acoustic measurement lab.
• Use of ancillary equipment such as digital oscilloscopes, function generators, motor controllers to test, debug and set up a wide variety of ultrasound systems and transducers. Debugging of hardware, software, and metrology test setups to include resolution and corrective action, working with other engineering teams where appropriate.
• Writing and release of various project documents including project history file, regulatory documents (510(k), various country regulatory forms, etc), and test reports.
• Create and update/edit process documentation and test specifications developed in coordination with the departmental engineering staff.
Position Requirements:
BS or MS degree in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering.
Some experience or training in ultrasound and acoustic physics a plus.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good time-management and organizational skills.
Comfortable working in a globally distributed team.
