More than 1 year previous supervisory experience, perferable in a laundry or housekeeping setting Environmental / Working Conditions Works in a well lighted, heated and air conditioned building. This is an exempt position and hours vary depending on the requirements of the job. Job Description Under the direction of the Director of EVS, the Assistant Director is responsible for the following: Plan and organize daily Environmental Services operations. Develops and implements goals, standards, and procedures. Monitors and controls expenses, purchases new linen. Responsible for all quality and quanity issues including maintenance and prevetative maintenance of machines and equipment. Establishes par levels for linen in each department. The Assistant Director directs the activities of all supervisors and Operation Manager. In the absence of the Director acts as the liason between key customers contacts, and administration and the department. Required Licensures / Certificiations / Registrations N/A Physical Capabilities Must be physically able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time. Job requires bending, pushing , pulling, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Sufficient dexterity and mobility of both arms and legs to safely operate hand and power tools and equipment. Skills and Abilities Must have the ability to read, write and speak in a clear, concise and professional manner. Ability to speak Spanish is prefered. Prefer a basic knowledge of computers and computer programs as well as small offcie equipment. 25%
