Bachelor's Degree
  • Education and Experience Bachelor's degree required, significant hospital development experience preferred. Job Description Serves as support to the major gifts functions of the UMC Foundation, which requires independent judgment and individual action. Duties include performing research utilizing primarily the Internet, but also paper research on grant funds available from public and private sources. Responsible for researching and drafting proposals for UMC Health System projects. Provide personal outreach to foundation sources as appropriate. Monitors admissions of major donors to the hospital and arranges visits. Provide additional research for identified donors utilizing patient screening. Updates donor recognition on a regular basis and maintains donor walls. Assists with the implementation of the ephilantrophy initiatives of the Foundation. Skills and Abilities The Technical Assistant should possess a variety of business related skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as well advanced presentation skills. Good financial and business acumen skills and an aptitude for interacting in a positive way with various publics involved with the Foundation. The Technical Assistant must have independent thinking skills and exercise good judgment in working with confidential and sensitive information. The Technical Assistant must have a highly professional demeanor and ethical image. It is important for the Technical Assistant to be highly motivated to complete the projects independently as needed. Job Responsibilities Provides additional screening and research of identified patients and assists in the implementation of the grateful patient program. Researches and drafts project proposals to be utilized in donor and foundation solicitation and supports the major gift funtion and efforts. Provides follow-up and oversight for funded projects and provides timely updates on projects. Assists in implementing ephilantropy initiatives through FaceBook, Twitter and e-mail. Oversees and coordinates donor recognition as established in the policy. Other Duties as requested and assigned.
