LSInc is seeking a Scientific and Technical Studies.

Position Description:
Conducts scientific and technical studies to initiate or support both major and non-major acquisitions. The studies are often focused on specific issues, concerns or alternatives that require more detailed information to inform decision makers. The work needed to conduct the studies can range in scope from traditional scientific knowledge and skills (i.e. mathematics, statistics, etc.) to preliminary modeling and simulation efforts to workforce and staffing evaluations to risk and cost analysis. Topics of interest can vary widely over the eleven Coast Guard mission areas and operational asset types. Results from the studies are typically documented in stand-alone technical reports and augment acquisition documents depending on the state or phase of the life-cycle the project is currently in. Will use the studies to provide CG-9 and its customers improved understanding of the applications of new assets, sensor performance, use of emerging technologies, concept of operations (CONOPS), and the effects proposed changes will make on CG mission outcomes and its workforce.

Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree and/or 10 years of specifically related experience.
