US Lead Marketing & Communications Manager


        • The role

          Overview

          As US Marketing & Communications Manager for Tata Communications you will lead, run and manage all US Marketing activity including corporate communications.

          Developing all Marketing programs within the segment as well as covering media, analyst relations (AR) and speaker platforms, to deliver the desired business results both internally and externally to achieve our business objectives.

          You will be responsible for the full marketing mix and developing the strategic editorial media direction for the region and for executing implementation thereof.

          You will have full commercial responsibility of regional marketing budgets ensuring that all campaigns are effectively executed, within delivery and budget agreements.

          Experience in the B2B Tech space is essential.

          Job Responsibilities:

          Marketing Activation
          • Work closely with Regional Sales Leaders to define and develop Marketing strategies for identified customer segments for acquisition, growth and retention
          • Build, implement and drive the go to market plan for Europe that includes direct as well as partner led marketing programs in the region
          • Lead the regional enterprise marketing team to implement result driven marketing programs.
          • Provide customer insights to ensure alignment of the marketing communication with the target market.
          • Partner with various marketing entities in the organization to develop and implement a implement integrated marketing approach, ensuring that the investment is consistent with the expected ROI.
          • Work with Insight team and sales to map Market Segmentation Framework for the region and build the Target Market List for the region
          • Provide customer and market insight to sales and product management
          • Measure and present projected ROI from proposed campaigns and customer segments
          • Attain and provide market expertise on target segments, supporting new product development, business strategy, marketing program development & customer relevant communication.
          • Manage and track the regional marketing budget and drive timely utilization each quarter.
          • Commercial mgt of the Enterprise marketing budgets and the optimization of spend in driving greatest return on investment
          • Deliver opportunity funnel underpinning business objectives and supply conditioning activity to nurture won business

          Corporate comms

          US PR – Management and strategic direction :
          • Lead and manage all US PR, in close alignment with the International team
            • Proactive news generation as well as regular engagements and thought leadership placements with key tier 1 media will be essential
            • Drive digital media relations in the US market
          • Devise annual and quarterly, strategic outreach plans and manage delivery of the agreed objectives
          • Management of the US PR agency to deliver upon regional KPIs and objectives

          US AR - Management, strategic direction and execution :
          • Drive and manage all US AR in close alignment and consultation with the global AR lead (based in SG)
          • Devise annual and quarterly, strategic outreach plans and manage delivery of the agreed objectives
          • Drive and manage the annual Global Ambassador Programme in the US market for all US targets

          Industry platforms and strategic networking –
          • Identify and secure, high-profile speaking engagements for US spokespeople in front of key industry influencers and targets
          • Identify and secure attendance at key industry networking events / platforms / institutions and work closely with the US country head to ensure Tata Communications is being seen and heard in the right (strategic) circles

          Key competencies

          FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
          • Experience in the B2B Telco, business and tech space
          • Exposure and experience of the full marketing mix
          • A hands on, proactive approach to results generation
          • Strong understanding/experience of Corporate communications and specifically US media (and analyst) landscape
          • Strong project management skills
          • Strong writing skills (press releases, thought leadership copy, day-to-day communications etc)
          • Good track record of creative B2B campaign development
          • A mix of in-house and agency experience (preferable but not essential)

          KPI’s
          • Successful development and implementation of marketing strategy and plan that includes ROI driven marketing programs
          • Successful implementation and achievement of marketing objectives and SLAs
          • YOY Regional Revenue growth and increase in existing customer baseStrong media relationships in the B2B Telco, business and tech space
