NCI: As a Cyber Operations Center (CyOC) Duty Controller ( Network / Systems Administrator , Associate ) , you will monitor and control restoral actions for key USTRANSCOM IT systems and networks. You will work side by side with a Military or DoD Civilian Duty Officer who reports the status of these systems and networks to USTRANSCOM J6, J3 and other senior leadership. You will also coordinate authorized service interruption requests from system administrators and component commands that impact users of these key systems. You will perform systems analyst duties with proactive customer centric monitoring tools provided by TRANSCOM within the CyOC.

Highlights of Responsibilities

CyOC Duty Controller monitors and controls restoral actions for approximately 130 USTRANSCOM Global Transportation systems and networks.
Identifies, reports and tracks network and security events for USTRANSCOM and component commands; Air Mobility Command (AMC), Military Sealift Command (MSC), Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) and Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC).
Drafts/coordinates service interruption correspondence for release to worldwide customers.
Logs, reports, and tracks system and network outages, authorized service interruptions, and equipment repair orders.
Uses network monitoring tools to maintain up-to-date information assurance and situational awareness.
Uses databases to analyze trends and up-channel adverse mission impacts.
Coordinates, tracks, and briefs information on communications, local area networks, hardware, software, e-mail, and application programs.
Ensures appropriate technical responses to insure awareness, urgency, and timely problem resolution.
Briefs the USTRANSCOM J6 Director and J3 Deployment Distribution Operation Center situational awareness of the Information Assurance Common Operational Picture (IACOP).
Provides presentations, updates, and feedback on USTRANSCOM IA operations and planning issues. Requirements

Active Secret security clearance.
Must be willing to work 12 hour shifts, weekends included, with a 3-month rotation (nights to days / days to nights).
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint & Excel).
Provide proper telephone etiquette. Preferred Education and Experience

Customer relations experience.
Effective interpersonal communication skills.
Track system/user issues in Remedy database.
System Analyst experience.
Be familiar with Military rank structure.
