The USB Systems Engineer will take responsibility for the PHYs of one or more USB related interfaces, including USB2.0, USB3.0, SSIC and HSIC. The activities of this engineer will include:
Analyze product requirements for a given high speed PHY
Develop system specifications, (architecture, interfaces to other blocks, required features, interrupts, power modes, power consumption, programmability, tuning, testability and compliance)
Address system level issues for other teams that are using these PHYs, (teams such as silicon design, software, board design, packaging, test, field apps)
Model specific aspects of the design using Verilog and/or SPICE as issues arise
Support lab teams in the bring-up and debug of system functions
Know and follow the standard, educate internal teams on new developments
The SerDes USB Systems Engineer will be part of the SerDes systems team. This systems team is responsible for other PHYs, including HDMI, MHL, eDP, CSI, DSI, DDR2/3, PCIe-2, SATA-2/3 and M PHY 2/3.
High-speed serial display interface development and test
Platform architecture, systems or chipset development
Silicon and/or board level development (including design, test, support)
