SUMMARY: Solicits truck sales business from assigned accounts and/or through personal and phone contacts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties beyond this representative listing may be assigned to the essential job duties and responsibilities of this position based on Company needs.
Prospect for new customers in a manner prescribed by management.
Knowledgeable in the area of truck specifications.
Know how to properly fill out all paperwork associated with a truck sales transaction.
Obtain Sales Manager’s approval on all truck deals.
Coordinate service work such as PDI, miscellaneous add ons and/or repairs with the service department. Purchase Order with an authorized signature is required before the truck is sent to service.
Coordinate with the Finance and Insurance Departments providing accurate information and paperwork to assist in obtaining customer financing and insurances.
Follow departmental procedures in completing truck paperwork using available systems tools.
Update customer records to reflect changes to customers’ names, addresses, etc.
Add new customers to appropriate mailing lists.
Attend training seminars when possible.
Act as a public relations liaison for the dealership.
Assist in reconditioning used trucks.
Maintain safe work environment by observing safety procedures and by requiring that all staff follow the required safety rules and regulations.
Maintain professional appearance and conduct that favorably represents the company.
Maintain work area in an orderly fashion.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable according to Rush insurance requirements.
Coordinate with supervisor and is available for assigned floor days, required meetings and other appointed times consistent and required to conduct and maintain the sales department business.

QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: Valid Driver’s License and a driving record that will allow insurability by the company’s carrier.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak English clearly and effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Basic computer literacy or the ability and willingness to learn systems.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities: Personal computer skills, familiarity with accounting and other software for dealer operations.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee may be required to move or deliver trucks requiring the employee to climb in and out of trucks which requires the flexibility and coordination in using motions that affect legs, knees, shoulders, upper and lower back muscles, arms, hands, feet and ankles.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level is moderate and is consistent with an office environment and truck dealership operating environments.
