Senior UX Designer
FuzeBox is looking for an extremely talented UI/UX Designer with a passion for seamless user interaction and beautiful user interfaces to help us produce the next generation of web and mobile collaboration products.
WHAT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE
Reports to the Chief Software Designer to translate user needs and business requirements into clear functional specifications.
Create UX workflows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
Develop and maintain detailed product specifications and UX design patterns.
Analyze feedback from Product Management, Dev teamsand users to better inform priorities and design goals.
Plan and execute UX testing of prototypes, monitor user feedback and suggest design changes based on this data.
Research latest technologies, best practices, and online trends to provide recommendations for the team across all platform targets, including iOS, OSX, Windows 8 and HTML5.
WHAT YOU NEED
An available portfolio or samples of work. Please supply a sample URL or link to your online portfolio as well as contact info (please be extremely clear re: what parts of sample work you actually designed).
At least five years of professional experience in designing interactions for desktop, web, and mobile apps as well as user experience research methods and usability testing.
Degree in interaction design, computer science, cognitive science, human computer interaction, or similar training.
Must have a keen eye for great UX design.
Team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work with multiple projects and balance multiple priorities.
Absolute, unbridled passion for simple and intuitive design across all target platforms is a MUST.
In depth knowledge of UI/UX standards for iOS, OSX, Windows 8, Android, etc. You should be intimately familiar with all the latest OS components and developments within these targets and convey their best use to the graphics design and dev teams.
Proficiency with Axure, Visio,Gliffy, Omnigraffle, Balsamiq, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc.
A SAMPLE OF WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO
Within 3 months, you will have:
Been trained on and become intimately familiar with all Fuze products on all target platforms.
Learned the competitive landscape and formulated strong opinions on how to improve our UX across all products.
Established a solid working relationship fellow UX/UI/GFX designers, as well as client-side developers within the company.
Helped complete the redesign, testing and implementation of a new version of Fuze for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Laid the groundwork for future UX designs targeted at large screen applications based on discussions with Product Managers and a Product Requirements Document.
Within 6 months, you will have:
Completed and tested UX designs for large screen versions of Fuze and created a final version of a functional specification document.
Started working alongside the client-side development team to execute this design.
