Nokia’s Connected Devices User Experience (UX) Design team in San Diego is seeking a UX Development Intern to design and develop user interface prototypes for next-generation mobile products and services.
Your work will be used to validate and critique design concepts, communicate design vision to stakeholders, and to hand off to development as a reference. You will work under the direction of an experienced design technologist and will collaborate closely with visual/interaction designers, user researchers and design strategists to ensure that Nokia’s design vision is carried through to the final product when it reaches the global market.
Currently pursuing a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Web Design, Computer Science, or equivalent
Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and excellence in UI prototyping, development, and design (candidates must send portfolio to be considered)
Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or Flash
Experience with front-end web technologies like HTML5 and CSS3
Passionate about user-centered design with strong attention to detail
Excellent team working and interpersonal communication skills
C# and XAML experience
Experience with Visual Studio, Blend or other IDEs
Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
Familiarity with Windows ecosystem (Windows Phone, Windows 8, XBOX, etc.)
Experience evaluating user interfaces through user studies, contextual inquiry, usability testing, etc.
