Requirements:
Successful completion of the examination given by The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible at time of hire. Must be registered (ARDMS) within the first year of employment.
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program. A minimum of five years of Ultrasound experience preferred. Pediatric experience desirable.
Knowledge of all types of Ultrasound imaging
Knowledge of Radiology Information Systems
Provides Family Centered Care
Integrates knowledge and assessment of child and family (Age- Specific Competency)
Ability to work independent of supervision
Good organizational skills
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Able to handle multiple tasks

Responsible for maintaining the continuing education required for this position.
Completes all on-line Mandatory education required by hospital
Obtains 12 CE credits/year

Job Description:
The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute is an interdisciplinary institution dedicated to conducting basic, clinical and translational research on conditions and diseases that affect children, and is part of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and University of Pennsylvania research community.

The Gastroenterology Research Division, headed by Dr. Virginia Stallings, is seeking an Ultra sonographer. A minimum of five ( 5) years of Ultrasound experience preferred. Pediatric experience desirable. This position is per diem and requires someone with flexible availability.

Primary Responsibilities:
Performs all Ultrasound techniques and examinations according to the procedures determined by the Radiologists. Maintains records of exams. Conducts self in a professional manner. Responsible for maintaining the continuing education required for this position. Obtains 12 CE credits/year
