Axess Ultrasound has an immediate opportunity for an Ultrasound Field Service Technician in Ann Arbor, MI. The Ultrasound Product Specialist I provides ultrasound equipment services under the close supervision of senior field technicians. Duties include, but are not limited to, validation and inspection of ultrasound equipment for completeness, mechanical and electrical safety, and proper operation. This position grows through ongoing training, education, and mentoring from other associates. The Product Specialist I also works to establish positive customer relationships and professionally represents Axess in all interactions by demonstrating a commitment to the Axess vision, mission, and core values.

• Associates degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent military training required
• Basic knowledge of medical equipment required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills required
• Frequently required to reach, pull, and/or employ fine motor skills during the installation, servicing, and maintenance of medical equipment
• Frequently required to bend, crouch, kneel, climb, balance, or otherwise maneuver body while servicing and/or inspecting medical equipment
• Frequently required to utilize hand tools (electronic test equipment, drills, etc.) when servicing medical equipment
• Frequently required to lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 75 lbs while working with medical equipment
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Valid drivers license required; variable travel requirements that requires the use of personal vehicle

RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Technical Service – 80%
a. Perform performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and operation verification procedures on ultrasound equipment
b. Repair, install, and calibrate ultrasound equipment
c. Adhere to established benchmarks; report to management on the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and any customer concerns
d. Maintain service expertise through ongoing training and education

B. Account Relationship Management – 10%
a. Build and maintain customer relationships
b. Discuss equipment status and functionality with clinicians
c. Provide a positive representation of Axess services by integrating the core values into job performance

C. Regulatory Compliance – 10%
a. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database to include the inventory, performance assurance (PA) schedules, nomenclature, and service history
b. Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP), including all regulatory agency compliances and other applicable policies and procedures
c. Responsible for ensuring all service and documentation is complete, timely, and accurate
