Underwrite Affluent class of Personal Lines business. This includes Home, Auto, Excess Liability and Collections.
The Senior Underwriter reports to the Regional Underwriting Manager.
Evaluate exposures, pricing and compliance documentation for renewal and new business accounts.
Develop new business opportunities for this division as well as new business cross-sell opportunities.
Responsible for working on current renewal book of business.
Review technical reports.
Underwrite risks and negotiate insurance policy term and conditions.
Develop and manage broker and intermediary relationships through sales and marketing.
Develop internal relationships with other profit centers and sales and marketing staff.
The Ideal Candidate Should Have
Candidate should have 2 to 3 years of personal lines underwriting experience.
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as overall computer skills.
Strong relationship building skills.
Candidate should be a self-starter able to handle multiple priorities.
