Purpose or Position: Assist underwriters with substantial data entry. Create files and check status with our carrier partners in a fast paced environment.

Essential Functions: Data enter all cases into production system. Request status for all files. Communicate additional carrier requirements/declinations to underwriters. Document status in each case. Filing. Process and forward approvals to brokers and sales offices. Encrypt and send cases to carriers which allow scanned submissions. Assist in various department tasks.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel. Good telephone and communication skills. Correct grammar and good spelling. Excellent typing speed and accuracy. 10 key by touch. Excellent time management skills. Professional demeanor. Prior insurance industry experience preferred. Able to work overtime and Saturdays.

Educational Requirements: High school graduate. College preferred.

Physical Requirements: Normal speech, hearing and vision. Able to stand for 2 hours. Normal mobility. Able to sit 5-10 days in a row doing heavy data input each month.
