Ensures quality control audits are completed as outlined and according to plan. Ensures processes remain in compliance with all applicable laws and internal policies and procedures. Makes recommendations to management for process improvements.

Impact on the Business

·

Determine quality opportunities and design quality programs in conjunction with management of assigned area. Manage quality reviews and communicate results to management

·

Coordinate statistical analysis to monitor the quality, regulatory and procedural compliance of operational functions. Improve quality and efficiency of operational functions through monitoring and processing analysis. Initiate and conduct research for various operational issues

·

Develop action plans to improve service to customers and reduce operating costs, including estimating staffing requirements; recommend and implement improvements for the area supported. Coordinate and monitor projects and work of assigned personnel

·

Manage design, data collection and analysis of surveys involving customers, employees or automated data. Manage the process of comparing external and internal results to improve the quality process

·

Facilitate the design and implementation of new or revised measurement criteria in assigned areas. Design internal certification program focusing on established monthly and annual requirements

·

Provide management direction to foster effective selection, development and reward of subordinates while contributing to initiatives in support of the Company’s Diversity programs

Management of Risk

·

Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues

Observation of Internal Controls

·

Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators

Qualifications

·

Minimum of four years proven and progressive operational and/or business unit experience or equivalent

·

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, related field or equivalent experience

·

Strong analytical, problem-solving, lateral thinking, project management and communications skills

·

Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packages

·

Knowledge of the processes, systems and procedures within the area supported
