The Universal Banker (UB) is responsible for routine and intermediate branch and client service duties in a client intimate environment. The Universal Banker is a dual purpose role which requires an associate to fulfill the responsibilities of both a Teller and a Banker. The time spent in each role will be determined by the needs of the branch and may vary.
Advising clients in their selection of various accounts and financial services, expanding existing relationships; processing new account transactions; opening and closing of accounts; accept retail and commercial checking and savings deposits; check cashing, loan payments.
Promotes business for the Bank by maintaining exceptional client relations and referring clients to the appropriate area for new services.
Completes all work with a high level of accuracy and in a timely manner; assuring compliance with all applicable Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
The Universal Banker is expected to have knowledge and understanding in the areas of safe deposit, accepting loan and credit applications.
This position also provides leadership, training and support to less experienced branch staff.
The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, at least 2 years Teller and/or Personal Banking experience, the ability to exercise ingenuity & analyze situations to effectively make financial recommendations & decisions with energy, enthusiasm, as well as a sincere desire to assist our clients with their financial needs.
A diverse knowledge of banking services & products, negotiable instruments, & good PC skills are required.
This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the Safe Act of 2008.
