Provide prompt and courteous teller and customer service representative support for multiple branches. If experienced, may also provide assistant branch manager support.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide customer service by receiving deposits, cashing checks and government bonds, making withdrawals and loan payments, etc.
Promote the sale of bank products and make referrals to business partners as appropriate.
Develop strong customer relationship and learn to recognize customer’s needs.
Balance cash fund daily. Complete over/short adjustments and send totals to appropriate department.
Process various payments and sell official instruments, including cashiers checks, traveler’s checks, and money orders.
Open checking, savings, CD and IRA accounts; redeem certificates of deposit and assist customer with rate information.
Provide maintenance for customer accounts; research and resolve customer questions and concerns in a prompt and courteous manner.
Identify customer needs – open and process new accounts
Know all features and benefits of bank’s products, programs, and services.
High school graduate or equivalent.
2 years of retail branch or sales experience.
Teller machine and calculator experience.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for extended periods of time, twist, bend, sit, walk, use hands to twist, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, such as a computer mouse, computer keyboard, calculator, stapler, telephone, stapler puller, etc., reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Will be required to travel between branches; mobility needed for entering and exiting vehicle. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the environment is usually normal.
