We are looking for a UX designer who is oozing with curiosity but can still fit their head in the door. We believe in teamwork and having fun so don’t expect to be a one-man wolf pack. If selected, you will be creating and supporting solutions for our gamers mostly with our customer service (CS) group which includes touching Battle.net and rep tools. Your solutions would reach across 6 regions and be supported in a ton of different languages. As the main point of contact for user experience (UX)in our Austin office, this opportunity will favor someone who can think globally and has an entrepreneurial spirit. Although we move fast and can crank out things when needed, we believe in quality and prefer to create solid strategies which can happen through gorilla-style usability, A/B testing, or a full court press of up-front user research. Your main goal would be to increase player satisfaction through customer service (CS) and increase the CS team’s efficiency.
Help team understand what our users are doing and why – analytics, general research, and working with our usability team.
Define problems and opportunities – analysis of our users and reps combined with our business needs that you’ll form into stories.
Create stuff to show the solutions – wireframes, flowcharts, prototypes, feature matrices, strategy, designs, constraints, oh my.
Iterate based on “validated leaning” – more flowcharts, wires, designs, as you work with your scrum team, stakeholders and reps.
Deliver and follow though – actually launching your ideas which means working from kickoff through development and getting sign-off along the way (final wires & flows, specs, use cases, error states, etc) and doing post launch analysis.

Knows the difference between a project goal and a requirement
Plays nice with others - graphic designers, developers, producers, quality assurance (QA), and VP’s
Both a conceptual thinker and a detailed designer
Can prototype ideas – whether high or low fidelity using the Adobe Suite, HTML, and / or Axure
Easily adapts and learns new things whether it’s a new prototyping tool, design process, or game
A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a UX designer, information architect, visual designer, interaction designer, or similar
A minimum of 10 years’ experience if interested in a more senior role
Understands that not everything you do will be a conceptual project
