A9 is looking for an innovative, talented UI designer to join the team and help build the next generation of some cool new services. Located in downtown Palo Alto, builds innovative search and advertising technologies.

What you will do:
  • Design, design, design
  • Develop a compelling overall vision for each product
  • Work with developers and product managers to establish requirements
  • Design interaction flows and individual features
  • Expand on the basic requirements to add innovative UI elements that make for a breakthrough user experience
  • Create working prototypes of key UI elements
  • Directly design the final look
  • Learn from user research and user feedback to improve future versions
Desired Skills and Experience

Must be:
  • A passionate advocate for customers and their needs
  • Self-motivated leader who can drive a design initiative from end to end
  • Able to partner well with business and engineering leaders
  • An expert communicator able to discuss the pros and cons of design choices
  • Constantly learning new ways to innovate -- up-to-date on the latest in the industry
Must have:
  • Strong interaction design skills
  • Compelling visual design sense with attention to detail
  • Excellent design process and documentation skills
  • Ability to juggle many tasks at once
  • Online portfolio including examples of solving complex UI problems
  • Technical excellence in HTML and CSS
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Interface, Design, or related field is required, graduate degree preferred
  • At least five years of industry experience
  • The candidate should be informed by industry standards, intuitive with design decisions, and constantly learning new ways to be innovative in the user experience field
