Telvent DTN is seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to lead the interactive design of client and internal customer facing solutions.
This individual is responsible for conducting research, analyzing requirements,
and working with business stakeholders to design highly-innovative concepts and
solutions communicated in the form of wireframes and clickable prototypes that
can be tested with end users and presented internally.
This position will create logical and easily navigable user experience,
including user interfaces, navigational rules, information organization, site
maps, and planning as it relates to the customer's experience on a variety of
Content, SaaS and Mobile assets.The
UX/UI designer will use industry standard design methodologies, usability study
analytics, and website heuristics to design interactive web application interfaces.
The designer will also be responsible for:
Collaborate with business stakeholders,
product management, business analysts in analyzing requirements and
assessing scope to ensure that the vision can be developed to meet business
and customer needs Develop high-level concepts for features
and functionality, including new product development, value-added product
modules, and self-service tools designed to meet client needs. Extend concepts through rapid creation
of wireframes and prototypes that can be iteratively tested with users and
presented to business leads. Extend concepts and designs into
functioning proofs of concept that can be further validated and tested
prior to full-scale development. Develop solid requirements with product
managers and systems developers. Provide systems developers with
fully-functional mockups and ongoing support of HTML/JavaScript based
build kits. Ongoing deliverables include wireframes,
design, front-end programming, functional JavaScript and jQuery (typically
client-side only). Create and maintain documentation
(vision statements, personas, scenarios, wireframes, task flows, etc.),
for business, marketing and technology teams. Work closely with a multi-faceted
teamwork environment business analyst developers, product managers and
copywriters to produce simple, easy to use solutions. Develop and maintain competitive
research analysis on UX/UI on an on-going basis. Assist product managers in developing
and designing testing plans -usability, user acceptance, and focus groups.
Utilize analytics results to maintain,
develop and create strategies and solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Interaction Design,
User Experience Design, Information Architecture, Fine Arts, Human
Factors, Human-Computer Interaction or Information Technology with
relevant experience preferred.
3+ years of experience designing user
experiences and interaction design for rich interactive Web applications
for the consumer or enterprise 3+ years of working development
knowledge of HTML (4/5), CSS (2/3), JQuery, JavaScript, XML, all of which
should be able to be coded by hand. Working design knowledge of Adobe
Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Flash, Adobe Dreamweaver. Experience in working with version
control systems Knowledge of multiple platforms-Desktop,
Mobile, email, Mac, PC Knowledge of motion design- Adobe
Premiere, and Adobe After Effects are desired.
