In this role you will be accountable for:
Managing the utilities, facilities, building and grounds at the Fort Worth manufacturing plant including a team of hourly employees, contractors and selective capital investment projects. Systems to support include (but are not limited to):
• HVAC’s
• Steam generation and condensate return
• Ammonia refrigeration
• Chilled water and glycol cooling systems
• Compressed air systems
• pH neutralization
• Water filtration and distribution
• Site Master Plan and Capabilities - assist in developing and monitoring a Master Plan for Utilities
• Project Management – Actively participates in the capital investment process and directly oversees respective areas execution of all projects in alignment with the engineering team
• Budget Management – Actively participates in the budget process and drives the expense execution with accurate adherence to plan including forecasting and tracking energy resource consumption
• Contractor Management – Actively participates in contract negotiations/vendor selection for equipment management and directly oversees their execution and ensures regulatory and policy compliance
• Customer Management – Prioritizes internal requests for work, targeting their highest level of satisfaction
• Staffing Management – Leads a team of technicians through their execution of work related to all the responsible areas, including their personal development and performance
• Performance Management
o Implements and maintains KPI’s and other visual management tools, while focusing on continuous improvement
o Establishes rigor around routines and promotes best practices by benchmarking with other sites
• Regulatory Compliance – Enforces the highest standards to comply with all regulatory compliance mandated programs for safety, food safety and environmental protection

The ideal candidate will have:
• BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial)
• Minimum of 3 years experience of managing utility/facilities/building and grounds with large ammonia refrigeration systems
• Experience in regulated food industry or consumer packaged goods
• Strong Project Management Skills
• Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
• Proficient in troubleshooting and solving complex technical problems
• Good follow up skills a strong bias for customer service
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Skills in AutoCAD, MS Project, and other business software, including energy management systems
• Flexible to react to changing business priorities
• Experience managing and leading bargaining unit employees
