Inspecting utility right-of-ways for compliance with state required clearance standards; Identifying needed tree and brush control work and providing information needed by line-clearance crews to complete work; Document work using detailed forms and maintaining log of information using a laptop computer; Notifying property owners of pending tree work on their property; Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues; and Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications: Two or Four year Degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Horticulture or related discipline; Ability to identify local tree species and knowledge of growth rates; Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and property owners; Ability to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather; Working knowledge of computers and GPS experience preferred; Ability to navigate and read/follow maps; Ability to work independently; Davey will provide training of specific task needs for the position. ISA Certification and experience in the electric utility industry is preferred.

Additional Information: Starting wage 13-16/hr based on qualifications and experience. Company vehicle, ATV/trailer, computer, and phone provided for work purposes.
