Starting Salary $14.80/hr
This is a temporary, 20-40 hour per week position with no benefits
Position is open until filled. First review of applications will occur on May 13, 2013.

Position performs semi-skilled work in the operation and maintenance of utility water and reclaimed water transmission and distribution systems, wastewater collection, and water/wastewater treatment plant equipment and facilities. Maintains, monitors, installs, and/or repairs the City’s water distribution system, service lines, valves and fire hydrants, wastewater collection and treatment facilities.

No utility experience necessary. Position Requires:

Knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Level of knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency.

Valid Driver’s License

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task, have basic computer skills, excellent customer service skills, strong safety awareness and the desire to be a team player.

Only a limited number of the most highly qualified applicants meeting the City’s requirements will be invited for an interview. Examination process for this position will include:

First Year Objectives:

12 Month Objectives

  • Obtain an ADEQ Grade I license in desired area (distribution, collections, reclamation or treatment)
  • Become familiar with the City of Goodyear Policies and Procedures.
  • Familiarize yourself with the daily operations and maintenance associated with the various divisions within Environmental Services.
