The purpose of the utility worker is to assist meat cutters with the packaging of meat.
This position must be able to perform all duties as assigned as a Utility Worker.
Must be willing to work 3rd Shift.
Load the packaging machine.
Take sealed and wrapped product and place in box for distribution.
Place large pieces of meat in Cryovac bag and then into vacuum machine.
Place cut meat into liner bags with wax paper between cut products.
Maintain clean work space including equipment, utensils, tables, and floor.
Ensure sanitation regulations are met.
Must be able to read and follow instructions.
Must have basic math skills.
Must be willing to work in a refrigerated environment.
Must be available to work overtime as needed.
Must be willing to work in a butcher shop environment with raw meat.
Must be willing to join a union.
Must be able to stand for 8 or more hours and safely lift up to 100 lbs. Must be able to bend, twist, grasp, reach, push, pull and use repetitive motion as required.
