Major Purpose of Job:
The Managing Director of Sales is responsible for building and managing a direct and indirect sales force to sell secure online workspaces and virtual data rooms. The position involves managing a global process and sales team which is responsible for implementation and sales of product to enterprise customers in the financial services market, commercial banking, life sciences and other sectors, both private and public. The position requires in-depth knowledge of Virtual Data Room as well as experience managing a team. The Managing Director of Sales will also provide guidance to the client account teams for the successful retention of customers and up-selling, as well as providing insight to the product development teams to enhance the product offerings.
Essential Job Functions:
Create, manage, implement, and launch the VDR marketing plan, sales strategy, pricing model, training program, Information security documentation, website build and content, and UAT testing.
Establish and develop strategy and tactics for selling directly to targeted accounts and new prospects in corporate, banking, private equity, legal, and professional services clients.
Manage and develop a global team of virtual data sales account executives
Ability to develop through understanding of NASDAQ VDR services, technical specifications, and the NASDAQ value propositions and use this knowledge in sales strategy.
Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers in the key accounts.
Demonstrate to companies Nasdaq business solutions products and services through face-to-face presentations and phone conversation; become the technical subject matter expert for the VDR product
Able to effectively negotiate contract/pricing terms.
Responsible for quarterly Sales targets and pipeline management. Meet and exceed sales objectives.
Responsible for inputting, updating, and tracking all sales activity in Siebel system.
Minimum of 10 years sales experience with 3 years of managerial experience
Proven track record selling enterprise SaaS offering is a must, as well as success at building and leading sales force
Excellent communication skills
Strong demonstration skills
Experience building new business through prospecting
Experience with selling virtual data room and/or financial oriented secure online portals preferred
