Reporting directly to the ACE Overseas General Chief Accounting Officer, this position is designed for a Finance leader supporting key elements of the IT organization. This individual will also matrix into the ACE Overseas General Chief Information Officer & management team for escalation as well as ACE Corporate IT Finance to lead and coordinate the consolidated international IT Finance activities. Executive guidance and financial spokesperson for AOG IT Finance related activities
Annual planning & budgeting / forecasting processes
Financial analysis and variance reporting (as a proactive IT “forensic accountant”
Monthly expense management and performance reporting including various dashboards
Project management CBA insight including coordination of accounting and financial reporting – including benefits realization
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As the ‘face of AOG IT Finance”, primary duty will be to develop and publish annual IT budget and plan guidance; actively lead in budgeting process with all levels of the AOG organization; meet with business / support unit Finance Officers / Operations Officers to review budgets; address business / support areas issues and concerns; monitor financial results and variances; manage effectively to meet targeted results; develop fair and measurable allocation methodologies and analyze impact of allocations to business / support areas; coordinate changes with all impacted business / support areas; prepare Executive Budget Package; provide counsel for budget presentations.
Provide monthly and quarterly finance reports providing aggregation of data, detailed variance analysis and explanation, periodic forecasts, trend analysis, and project tracking and reporting. Communicate financial performance throughout all working group levels of the organization as needed.
Provide oversight for IT related expenses, including the monthly expense accrual / reversal process, monthly invoice payments and contract commitments, and the tracking of IT expenditures and commitments against expense budgets and forecasts.
Provide oversight of vendors as it relates to services provided, audits of true-up of charges, validation of expenditures for reported and billed (e.g. reconciliation of “Crawley Block” expenses & automated monthly feeds into CLARITY tools from ADM providers), as well as, contract commitments and related billings.
Responsible for the consistent and accurate alignment of the IT organization in PeopleSoft Finance, Fixed Assets, Planning and Budgeting, Contracts, Disbursement Authority, as well as, regulatory compliance maintaining appropriate alignment of project work, resources, contracts, billings and expenses.
Build effective relationships with ACE business / support organizations critical to the reporting and communication of IT spending and related services. This includes collaboration with ITS Finance and ACE Corporate IT Finance.
Liaise with ACE Corporate IT Finance regarding new process improvement programs and/or tools selection and subsequent roll-out (e.g. APTIO and or new contract tracking software - TBD)
BS Accounting / Finance (CPA or MBA preferred)
Proven accountability for decision making; results oriented and self starter
7-10 years experience in Finance
International experience (over 2 years) is a plus
Experience in IT financial analysis and software license/maintenance, hardware, professional services, and telecom procurement
Strong orientation to technological strategies and concepts
Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to clearly convey critical information
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and proactively implement processes / procedures to achieve desired outcomes
Demonstrated leadership and relationship skills
