Position Purpose

Moxie is looking for a media expert, with enthusiastic and creatively-oriented leadership skills, to collaboratively lead integrated media solutions for the agency and a group of clients. This position will oversee the development of innovative & strategic plans that delivery on our client’s business objectives, as well has help shape the department and agency growth.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Oversee digital media planning for clients - developing strategies, media planning and buying, directing team and department projects, reporting & analysis, media optimization, media financials, recommending and introducing new methods/applications to apply towards goals, leading in flawless execution and ensuring that the team delivers against client objectives, stays on strategy, on budget and on schedule

Manage all projects to ensure the highest level of quality assurance, performance and innovation

Steward client interest in the areas of tracking and delivering measurable results and analytics, market knowledge, and audience insights

Work collaboratively in account team planning sessions regarding client strategy and approach, providing leadership, consultation and acting as a voice for media

Establish and manage relationships with senior media clients as well as be a key agency contact and resource for clients across other disciplines/departments

Partner with other brand agency leads to deliver unified cross-platform strategies, ideas, and advocating digital media

Collaborate with agency cross functional teams to deliver cohesive business solutions and strategies

Promote when appropriate, the use of other agency services - research, technology, creative, etc. - in executing the media campaigns and cohesive programs

Stay well versed of new technologies and trends in order to apply strategically to client’s business as well as proactively construct business building ideas

Manage and oversee monthly and end of campaign client billing, digital media budget reconciliations

Embodies Moxie’s values and cultivates them among the team

Manages workflow, efficient and profitable servicing of client(s), staffing levels, fosters healthy team structure, team assignments

Provide leadership/motivation and convey the vision and values of the agency to media staff

Assure that the media staff adheres to established agency policies/procedures

Assist in new business efforts as needed

Critiques, conducts reviews, performance evaluation of media team to ensure that effective, efficient and profitable staff operations are maintained; working closely with Associate Media Directors to provide mentorship and guidance to the team

Keep other agency departments informed about the media work produced for clients and best practices

Maintain excellent external professional relationships with media publishers and partners

Maintain knowledge of reporting, analytic, auditing, and financial platforms and tools along with their functionality

Typically reports to SVP, Strategy

This position will have direct reports and indirect reports

Job Requirements

Will require local travel to the client 50%

May require overnight travel up to 10%

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree

Years of Relevant Experience

12+ years media experience; both traditional and digital

8+ years digital media across all platforms: display, search, mobile

Beauty, luxury and/or retail brands experience, preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

Outstanding attention to detail and organizational abilities, ability to troubleshoot and provide feedback, guidance and solutions

Ability to prioritize and organize issues/projects for self and entire team

Ability to manage large project with exceptional project management skills

Excellent communication skills
