This role is part of the regulatory reporting team responsible for the Financial Responsibility Rules producing daily and monthly SEC capital calculations, as well as weekly and monthly reserve formula computations.

Specifically:
·

Accurately prepare computations/calculations/reports

·

Aid in researching and providing explanations regarding regulatory issues - both independently and at the request of the business units

·

Implement new systems and solutions to better enhance the regulatory reporting process

·

Look for areas of continuous improvement in the reporting process.

·

Maintain continued understanding of new rules and regulations

·

Produce timely, high quality capital reporting numbers with appropriate controls and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.

·

Document policies and procedures for the Regulatory reporting group

·

Assist in analyzing and assessing the immediate and long term implications new rules and regulations

·

Consult with the various businesses as appropriate to keep them current with developments

·

Produce timely, high quality capital reporting numbers with appropriate controls and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.

·

Obtain a detailed understanding of financial markets and transactions related to fixed income products, debt origination and corporate financing

Requirements

·

5+ years works experience; Series 27 and/or CPA a plus

·

Previous experience at a broker-dealer or accounting firm

·

BA/BA in accounting, finance, economics or business discipline

·

Strong accounting background

·

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

·

Advanced research, reporting and presentation skills required
