The Vice President of Business Development (Citizen Safety) will create and implement a strategy for business development that results in sale of strategic solutions/services and significant growth of American Systems at customers whose mission is focused on organizational units that provide systems, procedures, and techniques used to organize and disseminate information, including professional services related to biometric and biographical collection and analysis, technical forensics and reverse engineering, enterprise IT lifecycle support and services, systems engineering and integration, and “big data” operations and sustainment.
Specific Customers that are included as a direct responsibility of this position include: Department of Justice including but not limited to FBI, DEA, ATF, and US Attorneys; Department of Homeland Security including but not limited to ICE, USCIS, CBP, TSA, USSS, and US VISIT; Department of State including but not limited to CA, OBO, and DS; and select defense organizations involved in law enforcement such Navy NCIS and Army CID. One principal responsibility of this position would be to build and maintain a pipeline of significant (Material >$1B) value to the company.
The Citizen Safety Strategic Business Area Leader is responsible for preparing and updating a strategic plan, present that plan and gain organizational confidence and buy into the plan, and identify, coach and train specific solution sales individuals throughout the organization regarding the appropriate approach to be successful at Citizen Safety Strategic Accounts. This individual would identify customers, and prospect for potential business with these customers, develop a pipeline of opportunities, and qualify opportunities of significant (Material, >$50M) value to the company.
Continually assess the “definition” of Citizen Safety and identify potential customers that should be included as “Strategic Accounts”
Continually assess and quantify the potential revenue value to American Systems of customers for all strategic offerings
Prioritize the order of development of potential customers. Select and prioritize Strategic Accounts and plan, coordinate supervise and track actions being taken and opportunities being tracked in our CRM (GovWin) system in such a way that it complies with American Systems policies and procedures
Explore strategic offerings being offered by American Systems with potential customers and identify opportunities and identify existing employees or help recruit the delivery assets to provide needed services to the potential customer
Identify and implement the introduction of strategic offerings into potential customers and maintain the quality and professional standards of American Systems while doing so
Maintain and periodically present a strategic plan for the continued growth and expansion of business for customers within the Citizen Safety Strategic Business Area. This plan should maintain a pipeline value of greater than $1B comprised of opportunities of >$50M in gross bookings Coach and develop individuals involved in selling in the appropriate application of consultative business development skills, and use of the American Systems Business Development processes, language and systems.
