Provide creative and strategic leadership to drive best-in-class marketing activities across a variety of consumer marketing touchpoints to drive strong ratings for History, H2, History en Espanol and Military History; drive traffic to History digital platforms; as well as elevate the brand and intellectual properties off channel.
Direct consumer marketing efforts to elevate the History brand and Intellectual Properties
•Develop and manage strategic franchise plans around key properties and “tentpole” priorities that align and mobilize adjacent business units, driving brand, platform growth and revenue opportunities.
•Launch and build new hits to drive future franchise pipeline growth
•Support development of new launches with best in class marketing support that ranges from alignment of internal resources/platforms (digital, social, cross-channel) to fully integrated marketing/media campaigns
•Drive and support the alignment of the HISTORY brand globally across all territories
Maximize resources to drive consumer marketing efforts
•Develop an on-air strategy for every program working closely with programming/scheduling to maximize on-air resources in conjunction with scheduling strategy
•Direct paid media strategy that develops best in class plans and efficiently and effectively drives awareness of show programming
•Build Brand Experiences that enhance the perception of the brand and create new revenue and relationship opportunities for the company
•Work with sister marketing teams to utilize on-air media across the A+E Networks portfolio
•Direct internal research group around the consumer studies and needs for the networks
Build the brand across all consumer touch points
•Serve as central communication hub to all of the spokes of the brand (Consumer Products/Licensing, Digital, Social, Games, Distribution, Talent Management, Ad Sales and Ad Sales Partnerships) to direct Brand/Property support and drive their business objectives. Provide strategic insight, updates, and tools they need to be as successful as possible
•Develop new Ad Sales and partnerships opportunities, tapping more into consumer plans
•Work with affiliate and Ad Sales marketing groups to ensure consistency of brand messages in the B to B space
•Concept and push through new digital innovation and social outreach to develop new platforms and create a direct communication strategy with the consumer
- SOLID UNDERSTANDING AND EXPERIENCE OF TRADITIONAL AND NON-TRADITIONAL MARKETING PLATFORMS
- Minimum 10 YEARS MEDIA, PROMOTION, MARKETING AND ADVERTISING EXPERIENCE PREFERABLY WITHIN THE TELEVISION/ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY
MUST INCLUDE SENIOR MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IN BRAND MANAGEMENT AND HANDS ON INVOLVEMENT WITH ADVERTISING CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT IN ALL MEDIUMS.
