Vice President of Supply Chain
client is one of the leading worldwide operations in the creation, development,
and production of make up for the cosmetic industry’s major international
the 80’s the company’s position as an outsourcer began to take shape and
distinguished them from the traditional outside contractor due to the extensive
range of products offered. In 2000, production was moved directly into the US
market, with the opening of a plant in New York. This, as well as the further
strengthening of its industrial capacity, helped consolidate the company’s
position in foreign markets.
Develop and execute a Supply Chain Strategy that supports
the overall goals of the organization. The position is responsible for
the areas of Procurement, Planning, and Warehouse.
Reports to: General Manager
functions and basic duties:
Develop and implement strategies that support and meet the
organization’s goals, performance objectives, and client expectations
Provide for the continuous education of personnel in all
departments that fall within the Supply Chain organization in Supply Chain
processes as well as overall leadership and management skills
Establish both short and long term goals in the areas of
quality, cost, and service
Collaborate closely with leaders in other areas to ensure
alignment in support of the organization’s goals
Participate in strategic meetings in order to provide input
as related to production, logistics capabilities, supplier capabilities, and
Provide reporting and recommendations for internal and
external manufacturing management, suppliers, and internal and external
logistics operations that focus on achieving goals
Develop and execute annual budgets and plans
Develop strong relationships with all suppliers of materials
and services related to the Supply Chain

Participate in Staff Meetings
Must be able to travel as required ( roughly 25%)
Degree, MBA preferred. Advanced education in Inventory Management, Lean/Six
Sigma, or Operational Planning is a plus.
Knowledge of Supply Chain execution.
Comprehensive background in leadership positions in the
Supply Chain disciplines.
Understanding of financial systems and cost management.
Experience in developing and managing relations with
minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, with 5 years in a
key leadership role.
Experience in the Cosmetics Industry desirable
Demonstrated successful organizational and project management
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to successfully manage multiple teams
Ability to interact with all levels of the company
