Addus HealthCare is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources for its Palatine, Illinois location. Relocation assistance is provided. Addus is one of the nation's largest and fastest growing providers of personal home care and support services.
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer and based in the Company’s corporate office in Palatine, IL, this key senior management position will provide Human Resources expertise and support the achievement of the Company’s national and regional objectives for growth and profitability. Specific responsibilities of the Vice President of Human Resources include the following:
Lead the development and execution of HR strategic plans and initiatives and promote a unified company culture.
Provide leadership to the HR team and build organizational capability and effectiveness. Ensure a strong focus on internal customer satisfaction.
Enhance and/or develop and implement human resources policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization.
Ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing wage and hour, labor relations, affirmative action, and other federal, state and local requirements.
Provide advice and counsel to executive leadership, managers and employees on HR issues that affect performance and business relationships.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree preferred
10 to 15 years of experience in human resources, and at least eight years of senior–level management experience in a corporate environment of a large, multi-site, multi- state organization.
Strong experience in the areas of compensation and benefits, worker’s compensation, employee relations, collective bargaining, talent management, policy development, organizational training and development, acquisition integration, and change management.
Proven success in a fast-pace, growth-oriented, results-driven organization.
Demonstrated self-confidence, leadership and teambuilding talents, strong planning and analytical skills, and polished written and verbal communication skills.
Travel up to 10% of the time is required
Health care industry experience is desired
Contract negotiation experience is desired
