Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Marketing is responsible for teaming with Sales to grow monthly recurring revenue. A metrics-driven, charismatic leader, the Director of Marketing will establish revenue-driven marketing objectives and chart an effective path to achieving these goals.

The Director of Marketing is charged with growing lead volume and building the Duo Security brand. Responsibilities include all aspects of marketing ranging from general awareness efforts, demand generation to salesforce and channel enablement. S/he will shepherd the development of optimized messaging and brand consistency. The Director of Marketing is also responsible for the recruitment, management and development of all marketing personnel.

  • Grow marketing qualified leads (MQL’s) and trials
  • Progressively improve conversion rates
  • Build scalable demand generation engine
  • Build competency in content marketing
  • Attract and retain a data-driven, metrics-oriented team
Specific Duties:
  • Set marketing strategies and provide clear direction to team
  • Work with product management on clear messaging and positioning
  • Build and manage marketing team
  • Manage team and external vendors across the following areas:
    • Email marketing programs (marketing automation)
    • Online advertising
    • Content marketing
    • Social media – build presence and ensure active engagement in the community
    • PR/AR programs
    • Website and SEO
    • Sales tools and collateral
    • Build and maintain key metrics and reporting dashboard
  • Track record of successful B2B marketing from SMB to enterprise
  • Experience with latest online marketing methods
  • Experience with marketing automation and demand generation
  • Working knowledge of the security industry or an engineering background
  • 10+ years in marketing, with track record of increasing responsibilities
