About my client:
They are on the intersection of business and consumer tech. They use Big Data to harness Social Data, gulping down and making sense of billions of social-interactions every day directly from exclusive relationships with Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, Forums, YouTube, etc.

They are a social data-platform used by companies and researchers to aggregate, filter and create insights from billions of public Tweets, Posts and Blogs.

They have exclusive access to 250+ million Tweets every single day including 40+ meta-data fields that be filtered upon.

They are well-funded and use their own technology to create social insights into the news.

*** What makes them special is their NLP technology that filters this social media data for demographic information, online influence and sentiment, either positive or negative. They do not limit searches based on keywords and allows companies of any size to define extremely complex filters, including location, gender, sentiment, language, and even influence based on Klout score, to provide quick and very specific insight and analysis.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The VP of Marketing is an amazing opportunity to help drive growth You will be a core part of the major decisions we will be making in the coming year and beyond. The VP of Marketing will develop and execute the company's marketing strategy, evolve brand positioning and messaging, manage public relations and analyst relations, customer marketing, lead generation, and product marketing in an exciting start-up environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Executive

? Achieve targeted results and ensure timely and effective execution of marketing tactics and programs.

? Analyze, evaluate, plan and execute on both existing and potential marketing activities and strategies. Develop benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs.

? Create, manage, coordinate and execute all marketing strategies and implement tactical plans that meet and exceed company expectations.

? Develop unique value propositions, business partnerships, category management, as well as call to action oriented advertising targeted toward key customer segments that increases brand awareness.

? Lead and manage Corporate Marketing, Marketing Operations, Product Marketing, and Lead Generation.

? Manage the Marketing P&L

? Work closely with Sales, Product, and other Senior Executives to create demand and recognition for client and its products.

? Oversee marketing plan for new products, new channel partners, customer marketing, and all content and social.

Content

? Develop and manage the website content strategy

? Create communications for all channels including salesforce.com, professional teams, industry experts, and more

? Work with public relations and analyst relations

? Work with industry leaders on content, including whitepapers, case studies, webinars, and more

Lead Generation

? Use all available resources to continue to educate the market on client and the business we are in

? Work with channel partners to create compelling campaigns driving leads into the pipeline

? Work closely with sales to measure effectiveness and rate to close

REQUIREMENTS

? A person on the rise who is ready to get their hands dirty while managing executive planning/responsibilities

? Bachelor's Degree, Master's degree preferred

? Minimum of 15 years of experience spanning all marketing disciplines, with 7 years in progressive marketing leadership roles at the senior management level

? Previous experience leading marketing for a SaaS company

? Experience leading and growing a marketing department in a start-up or early stage environment

? Go-getter mentality looking to work at a meritocracy

? Experience working in technology marketing, including P&L experience

? Expert in CRM, experience with salesforce.com preferred

? Expertise in all online marketing, including PPC, SEO, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter

? Experience managing public relations and analyst relations

? Experience planning and executing industry tradeshows and regional events

? Strong public speaker

? Some understanding of development platforms

? Previous technical background strongly preferred
