The company is embarking on an aggressive, multiyear growth plan and is seeking a senior executive to join the team as VP of Marketing. The position reports to the president of NCSA and will be part of the executive team. The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader who has led organizational migration into an advanced Web world using online marketing as a key platform for engaging and creating value for customers and other stakeholders. They will be both a strategic thinker and someone primarily who can “roll up their sleeves” around the issues of driving large amounts of leads, executing many types of online and offline marketing programs, measuring them and optimizing them.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Success will be based on the creation and execution of a high growth marketing strategy and managing a dozen, mostly digital marketing channels , to implement it. The candidate will be responsible for highly qualified lead growth - and along with our VP of Sales, be responsible for significantly revenue growth.
Specific marketing responsibilities include:
Web site development – Our website is a strong part of marketing and selling process as well as our primary brand experience for customers. Responsibilities include managing multiple phases of new web site functionality releases annually, and continuous improvement of the user experience and the lead generation process.
Landing pages – Continuously create and test new landing pages using A/B and multivariate testing
Reporting and metrics - Improve our integrated metrics and reporting systems, incorporating data from many channels and tracking both leads and revenue
Pay per click advertising – This is a major channel and the candidate should have significant experience in managing and implementing PPC programs
SEO and taxonomic SEO – Work with best of class providers to drive organic search traffic
Purchased leads – Mange many partners and providers of purchased leads
Social media – Create programs and improve user engagement
PR - Drive current traditional media relations efforts toward more advanced PR activities that synch with and support a technology-driven marketing strategy.
Management of the marketing department to support the various tactics.
The VP of Marketing candidate should have the following:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university – an MBA or Master’s degree in marketing or another business discipline will be an advantage.
10+ years experience in managerial marketing roles with 5 years of deep recent experience in a wide variety of digital marketing activities both online and offline
Experience with heavy lead generation in B2C industries and previous significant revenue responsibility, ideally in the $50-$250M revenue range.
Strong team building and training skills
Strong metrics and analytical skills which lead to growth and optimization of marketing spend and tactics
