SCIC is looking for a dynamic individual as its V.P. of Underwriting to focus on underwriting renewals and new business, building agent relationships, and hiring and managing field production underwriting staff. SCIC target market is a 4-Wall Exposure with a 1.200 Mod or Higher & $100,000 minimum annual workers’ comp premium. SCIC average account size is $200,000 in premium.

PRIMARY ROLE:
Ultimate accountability for planning, leading, organizing, and directing the company’s underwriting department. Responsible for achieving growth and profit objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have 7+ years experience successfully managing and directing a Workers’ Compensation underwriting territory, meeting and exceeding company goals and objectives.
  • Must have demonstrated skills in managing aggressive sales goals and proven track record.
  • Must possess strong leadership skills with a forward focused vision.
  • College degree required; CPCU, CIC, and CRM desirable.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
