This position requires at least 1 year or more experience in vascular imaging. Self-starter with exceptional work ethic and the ability to work independently. Will perform vascular imaging and nonimaging examinations

Participate and make recommendations in the annual review of protocols

Participate in the coordination and content of in-house Vascular Laboratory meetings with physicians

Participate in identifying and evaluating new equipment and making purchasing recommendations.

Responsible for specific section of the ICAVL accreditation process.

Routinely communicate with physicians and other Healthcare Professionals

Participate in the Laboratory extended hours program; includes one 3 day week-end per month

Job Requirements top

Successful candidate should have or be eligible to sit for RVT or RVS credential. Experience in patient care and familiar with all aspects of patient care is essential. Previous experience should include training or working in a vascular laboratory performing all types of vascular imaging procedures. Capable of communicating with physicians and other health care professionals is a must. Complete understanding of noninvasive techniques including limitations of each. Computer skills are essential to this position. Able to participate in the laboratories extended coverage hours.

General Vascular Surgery and the Noninvasive Vascular Laboratory have been in operation since 1977 in the San Francisco Bay Area. We have been accredited since the early 1990's. We are a multi-site organization located in the East Bay providing services to in-patients and out-patients. The physicians view the Technologist as a professional colleague and value their input. The organizations' "patient first" philosophy has made us the most reputable laboratory in the area. The current staff consists of 5 technolgists, and three support staff. Our technologists, with well over 30 years of experience, have provided education to students and physicians for well over 25 years. Equipment used is Phillips IU22 and Parks flo lab. Salary is commensurate with experience and proficiency. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, education/training, and SDMS membership. Relocation package available.
