Position Summary:

Under general direction, manages centralized Vendor Governance and Incident Management programs. Guides, directs, and collaborates with vendor owners throughout the bank while providing objective oversight into all aspects of vendor performance; including service level agreements, financials, security, and partnership. Manages, maintains, and oversees a Vendor Contract and Risk Management application and associated processes, including risk assessments and vendor performance management. Proactively identifies risks to the business and operations, and leads mitigation efforts to minimize the impact to the Bank. Implements and oversees policies and procedures, and ensures that employees understand and adhere to procedures to manage third party risk. Takes the lead role in Incident Management, partnering with internal business partners and vendors in timely resolution of issues and root cause analysis, to minimize client, financial, and operational impact. Requires strong understanding of IT environment and operational functions. May be responsible for day-to-day management and strategic leadership of critical vendor relationships.

Essential Duties:
  • Oversee and manage the Vendor Governance program for the organization
  • Create, implement, and maintain program documentation, including policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with vendor owners to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and guidance related to third party risk management
  • Create, maintain, and present metrics and management reporting on a consistent basis for vendor performance management
  • First point of escalation for issues identified by vendor owners
  • Drive continuous improvement activities within the Vendor Governance Program and with specific vendors
  • Identifies and implements enhancements to the Vendor Governance program
  • Leads Incident Management; partnering with IT, Operations, business units, and third party vendors
  • Drives resolution of issues and root cause analysis with vendors
  • Conducts analysis and trending of performance issues to drive process enhancements
  • Manages and maintains a Vendor Contract and Risk Management application
  • Partners with vendor owners and Information Security Team to drive completion and enhancements to risk assessments
  • Collaborates with Strategic Sourcing team to monitor contract terms and key contract data elements, and facilitates actions with vendor owners
  • May manage vendor relationships and performance for certain critical vendors


Required Skills (including PC software):

Minimum Required Experience:
  • 5 years in a vendor governance/oversight position
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of IT environments and operational functions
  • Proven experience in effectively managing vendor relationships
