Job Summary: Manages staffing process for licensed and skilled positions on all vessels (including catcher boats, tenders, freighters, floating processers, and catcher/processors). The position is located in Seattle, Washington in our corporate office.
Confers with management and supervisors to identify key personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills for vessel positions.
Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
Manages the recruiting process for multiple vessels. Includes the management of the recruiting database of candidates and all screenings associated to qualify the eligibility of candidates.
Leads and facilitates job fairs and recruiting programs with federal , state and local maritime academies and related vocational schools.
Additional Responsibilities :
Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
Associates degree (A.A) from a two-year college; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Understand recruitment process for licensed USCG candidates, crew manning, and other maritime positions.
Knowledge of merchant mariner credentials and appropriate requirements for various skilled trades and key vessel positions.
Understands experience and certification requirements for all levels of skilled trade and appropriate licensing positions.
