PetVet Care Centers is seeking an Inventory Control Manager based in Southport Ct. with experience in Veterinary or Human Hospital Inventory and Purchasing
PetVet Care Centers operates full-service, General Practice and 24-hour-a-day Specialty Veterinary Facilities across the U.S. which provide 24 hour emergency care, as well as referral services in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Ophthalmology and a variety of other disciplines.
This Position reports to the CFO

Responsibilities:

Lead our inventory management and reconciliation processes, from development to management

Develop and manage key operational metrics associated with inventory accuracy, aging, and space utilization

Integrate centralized purchasing function with Hospital level inventory control process

Ensure inventory consistency and compliance across all Hospitals

Partner with the Finance Team to ensure efficient, effective reporting and accurate inventory analysis

Implement technological improvements in the inventory management process with enterprise functionality

Conduct inventory analysis to identify issues and develop improvement plans

Monitor accuracy and consistency of all vendor item pricing leveraging discounts at all locations

Position Requirements

10+ years inventory management experience in a Hospital or Veterinary Medical Facility or Organization

Experience with enterprise resource planning tools
Must own company inventory process from start to finish.
Must demonstrate an ability to conduct data collection and measurement activities utilizing standard and metric systems
Top computer skills are required including expertise with MS Office and Veterinary POS systems such as Impromed, Cornerstone and Via
Advanced analytical and accounting software skills: Excel ( Pivot tables, v-lookups, macros) MS Access Databases, SharePoint, Great Plains
Comfortable with budget management and cost control strategies
A+ written and verbal communication skills
Travel Required (Approximately 30%)

Education

  • Minimum four year degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Hospital Administration
